The Origin of the Pysical Therapy Department
Established in 2023, the Department of Physical Therapy is one of the vital departments within the Medical Group, playing a pivotal role in training and qualifying specialized technical staff in the fields of physical therapy and medical rehabilitation, and equipping them with the scientific and practical skills necessary to work in institutions under the Ministry of Health and the private healthcare sector.
The department also contributes to supporting scientific and research activities by leveraging the expertise of its faculty to advance scientific research and meet the needs of various sectors, in addition to its commitment to keeping pace with modern knowledge and methodological developments, and to strengthening academic and professional cooperation with counterpart institutions and entities, thereby contributing to the development of diagnostic capabilities and achieving accuracy and speed in the assessment of medical conditions.
The department aims to prepare qualified professionals in physical therapy techniques, capable of treating neurological, psychological, internal, and surgical conditions, as well as hearing and speech disorders and the rehabilitation of children with disabilities, thereby ensuring the provision of comprehensive therapeutic and rehabilitative services.
Upon successfully completing the four-year program, graduates are qualified to work effectively in public and private healthcare institutions and to actively contribute to improving the quality of healthcare and serving the community.
