Genetic patterns of cutaneous leishmaniasis in a scientific course at the faculty

Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, Assistant Prof. Maqsood Adel Mahmoud, the Continuing Education Unit at the Faculty organized a scientific course entitled “Genetic Patterns of Cutaneous Leishmaniasis” during the month of September.
The course was presented by the Dean of the Faculty, Assistant Professor Dr. Maqsood Adel Mahmoud, and attended by a number of faculty members and affiliates.
The course aimed to:
1- Introduce cutaneous leishmaniasis and its medical and health importance.
2- Explaining the genetic patterns that cause the disease and how to distinguish them.
3- Highlighting modern diagnostic methods for detecting the parasite.
4- Discussing prevention and treatment strategies based on a genetic understanding of the parasite.
5- Raising awareness among faculty members and staff of the importance of scientific research in the field of parasitic diseases.
