Administrative and Financial Anti-Corruption Strategy
Under the auspices of Assistant Professor Dr. Aliaa Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Maqsood Adel Mahmoud, Dean of the College, the Legal Division organized a scientific seminar entitled “Strategy for Combating Administrative and Financial Corruption”.
The seminar was delivered by Assistant lecturer Mustafa Kamel Majeed, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, where its main themes included a review of mechanisms to enhance transparency and the role of good governance in enhancing institutional performance within educational institutions. The seminar also addressed effective ways to achieve integrity and ensure a corruption-free work environment at the administrative and financial levels.
Discussions focused on strategies to prevent corruption, including promoting a culture of accountability and developing effective control systems. The importance of modernizing anti-corruption legislation and applying legal procedures against violators was also highlighted. The seminar emphasized the essential role of awareness and training in spreading a culture of integrity among employees and those dealing with educational institutions.
The seminar included a discussion session among the attendees, during which several practical recommendations were put forward, including activating electronic complaint systems to facilitate the reporting of corruption violations, and the need to strengthen cooperation between educational institutions and regulatory authorities to ensure the effective implementation of anti-corruption mechanisms.
