Department of Physical Therapy Techniques
The Physical Therapy Techniques Department, which was established in 2023, is considered one of the important departments within the medical group because of its effective role in providing technical staff who are specialized in physical therapy and medical rehabilitation and providing them with work skills in the areas of the Ministry of Health and the private sector, in addition to the role of the department in supporting the scientific and research aspects by investing the role of teachers in supporting scientific research for all sectors. The department also works hard to open all cognitive and methodological horizons for the purpose of expanding and building links with corresponding institutions and departments for completing the diagnostic mission.

An increase in physical therapy services by providing scientific and practical educational and high quality research programs and distinguished efficiency in all aspects of therapeutic, preventive and rehabilitative work. Support and assist those affiliated with medical specialties to develop their knowledge and pursue their scientific studies for the purpose of effective scientific development to build society.
Mission
Graduating highly qualified intermediate medical cadres whom specialized in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation by providing a stimulating environment for learning, creativity and advancement in the field of physical therapy and supporting the effective conduct of scientific and practical research and studies for the development of community health.
Objectives
- The department aims to graduate technical staff in physical therapy and medical rehabilitation to provide them with work skills in treating neurological, psychological, internal and surgical cases, hearing children speech disabilities,
- Preparing staff capable to provide medical care and physical therapy for people suffering from movement disorders and disabilities.
- Providing graduates with the technical skills to work on modern physical therapy equipment’s in hospitals, sports medicine, the Ministry of Youth, the Olympic Committee, sports federations, and rehabilitation centers.
- Providing high-quality educational programs that keep pace with the latest developments and developing strategic plans to follow-up continuous training for those responsible for implementing treatment programs.
- Encouraging and supporting scientific research in the field of physical therapy and physical rehabilitation.
- Strengthening relations with the health, service sectors and relevant community institutions by opening outpatient clinics that provide services to patients and injured people in its developed laboratories after obtaining the approval of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Higher Education.
- Opening cultural courses in physical therapy in order to access the latest science developments in this field.
- Working in the Ministry of Health sectors, which includes; government hospitals and medical rehabilitation centers.
Job description of the graduate
The graduate whom appointed centrally among the Ministry of Health cadres and is 16 given a job title (physical therapist).
