In a move that seeks to promote initiative and social responsibility, and to establish a culture of volunteerism in the health field within the academic and community circles, and with the generous sponsorship and support of the President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Maqsood Adel Mahmoud, Dean of the College, the College of Health and Medical Technologies/Al-Dawr witnessed the launch of the major volunteer campaign organized by the college for this year.

This initiative is part of a series of community activities that the college has been implementing annually, in conjunction with the celebration of International Volunteer Day, and in line with the university’s approach to serving the community and promoting health awareness among citizens. This campaign is an extension of the college’s role in utilizing its teaching expertise and scientific departments’ capabilities to provide high-quality free health services.

The campaign includes a wide range of services aimed at members of the local community, including initial clinical examinations, specialized consultations in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation, as well as accurate assessments of muscle injuries and mobility issues. The events also include various health examinations that contribute to the early detection of certain conditions that require follow-up, conducted by qualified medical and technical teams comprising faculty members and students who have been trained to participate actively in professional volunteer work.

Through this event, the college affirms its keenness to promote positive communication with the local community and highlight the leading role of educational institutions in supporting the health sector and improving the level of services provided. The college administration also emphasized that the continuation of these campaigns is a fundamental pillar in building a complementary relationship between the university and the community, and a practical embodiment of the values of giving, solidarity, and teamwork highlighted by International Volunteer Day.
