History of the College

The College of Health and Medical Techniques is one of the most important colleges in technical education. It holds a unique academic standing within the local and Arab academic community and plays an active and influential practical role in the technical, health, and medical fields, thereby meeting the needs of society and the requirements of the job market. Based on the foregoing, the College of Health and Medical Technologies was established in 2023, comprising two departments (Physical Therapy Technologies and Optometry Technologies) to meet the need of health institutions in Salah al-Din Governorate for the aforementioned specialized personnel who meet scientific specifications and standards,

as well as preparing personnel to work in these institutions and supporting the private sector in this field; developing the faculty and student body in the areas of scientific and knowledge-based research, which constitute the scientific capital of the department and other institutions; and expanding the horizons of scientific cooperation with technical colleges, corresponding departments, and related institutions to achieve continuous, high-quality output and interaction.
