The Light of the Quran in the College: “A Surah Taught Me” Seminar for Teachers on the Occasion of World Quran Day

In a distinctive atmosphere of faith and culture, under the generous patronage of the President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the direct supervision and follow-up of the Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medical Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Maqsood Adel Mahmoud, the faculty held a religious and cultural seminar entitled “A Surah Taught Me,” coinciding with the celebration of World Quran Day.

This seminar came to affirm the university’s keenness to consolidate spiritual and intellectual values within the academic environment and to enhance the presence of the Holy Quran in scientific and educational life, as a source of guidance and a methodology for building a balanced personality and refining moral and professional awareness.

The seminar targeted faculty members at the college, with the aim of providing a knowledge and cultural space that contributes to deepening their understanding of the messages of the Holy Quran and inspiring educational and behavioral lessons that positively reflect on their academic performance and educational mission in building generations.

The seminar included several main themes, most notably drawing lessons and morals from the verses of the Holy Quran and applying them in everyday life, as well as highlighting the psychological and educational impact of the Quran in refining the soul and promoting noble human values. The symposium also addressed the miraculous nature of the Quran through a presentation of glimpses of the eloquence and rhetorical beauty of the Quranic text, reflecting its profound impact on thought and consciousness.

The event witnessed remarkable attendance and interaction from the teaching staff, who appreciated this meaningful initiative, emphasizing the importance of continuing such activities to enrich the university environment with spiritual and cultural knowledge.

At the end of the seminar, the college dean’s office affirmed its commitment to supporting cultural and religious programs that contribute to raising intellectual and educational standards and enhance the role of teaching in raising awareness and building a conscious university community.
